Lancaster University
ViraCoat has partnered with the World-Class Lancaster University as the lead research facility for the rigorous testing of all ViraCoat products.
The University’s biomedical facilities and equipment are state-of-the-art, with a fully equipped CL3 Laboratory and full access to the University’s resources as required for each project.
In the last published REF, 91% of Lancaster’s research was rated as either internationally excellent or world-leading.
Lancaster University’s research is truly international in focus, with research partnerships in over 60 countries around the world.

Prof. Muhammad Munir
Prof. Muhammad Munir is a molecular virologist at Lancaster University with research experience in viral diagnostics, vaccine development, and viral pathobiology.
With over a decade of proposing and conducting ground-breaking research in critical fields of both virology and immunology, Prof. Munir has provided expert comments on viruses over 500 times across 18 major TV and radio networks worldwide.
Internationally recognised as an authority in his field, Prof. Munir is also a member of the World Health Organisation expert panel on animal models and COVID-19 vaccines.
With an extensive history in researching zoonotic diseases, and in particular coronaviruses, Prof. Munir is uniquely equipped to help combat the spread of COVID-19.
